芝加哥第七周
上周末想去Garfield Park Conservatory温室就直接去了，到了才知道必须提前预约才能进，于是打道回府，这周三提前约了才去。温室里的植物花卉都很美，很喜欢那个沙漠植被有很多仙人掌的温室，让我想起了墨西哥瓦哈卡的那个有很多大仙人掌的大植物园。
逛完植物园去了南边的DuSable Black History Museum。进博物馆前找到了个附近的塞内加尔饭馆去吃午饭，从来没吃过塞内加尔菜，很好奇。进去后问老板塞内加尔菜跟尼日利亚菜像不像，因为我之前吃过尼日利亚菜。老板说他们的菜比尼日利亚菜好吃多了，还指着靠窗桌的顾客说：”你看那个人，他就是尼日利亚人，但常来我们这儿吃塞内加尔菜。”说完便推荐了几个菜。之后了解到塞内加尔菜深受北非、法国和葡萄牙食物的影响。我们点了fataya（炸三文鱼饺，类似印度的samosa）、yassa chicken（用洋葱、柠檬汁和其他当地作料腌制的炖鸡）、saka saka （腌制的羊肉、虾和蟹肉，和木薯叶）、thiakry （一种甜品，是用古斯米和酸奶或奶制品制作的，类似米布丁或墨西哥的arroz con leche、bissap （洛神花茶）和塞内加尔薄荷叶茶。
吃饱喝足后去逛DuSable Black History Museum博物馆，里面有很多关于非裔的画展和历史，还有个虚拟现实的马丁路德金在华盛顿林肯纪念堂发表的纪念性演讲《我有一个梦想》。戴上虚拟现实设备可以跟着周围的人一起游行、感受演讲时的场景。一个小屋子里只能四个人同时进入，每个人要在自己的小区域里走，因为空间有限，没走两步就会被工作人员提醒要转身，否则会进入别人的区域撞到他人。
周五去了位于Pilsen区的墨西哥艺术国家博物馆，很喜欢里面的一个展品的一句话”Make tacos, not war.”（做更多的墨西哥塔可，而不要制造更多的战争）。这里很多艺术作品都跟政治、战争、种族歧视、人权问题有关。很多让我想起了在墨西哥Chiapas（萨帕塔民族解放军运动）和瓦哈卡州时了解到的关于当地原住民的事情，在墨西哥关于原住民的歧视暴力行为还是普遍存在着的。
在芝加哥市内有两个离得很近的墨西哥裔区Little Village和Pilsen。Little Village (La Villita)感觉跟墨西哥特别像，街上人行道上有卖正宗食物和零食的街摊儿、冰棍冰淇淋店、面包房、街上卖二手衣服鞋子的小摊儿、颜色丰富的卖piñatas（皮纳塔-装满糖果、吊起来打的用纸糊的容器）和quinceañera（15岁成年礼）的裙子的店。 而另一个Pilsen区有更多的更艺术性强些的涂鸦壁画，但这个区感觉像被绅士化了的墨西哥区域，有很多高档些的融合性菜肴和比较小资的咖啡馆。
在West Loop区周围无意中看到很多有意思涂鸦和壁画。
Cicero区有很多墨西哥裔住在这里，去了家特别好吃的面包店，里面卖的全是在墨西哥能看到的甜面包和甜品，买了pan chino, beso, and oreja蝴蝶酥。甜面包是我的软肋啊，太让我很是怀念墨西哥了。
这周还去了家韩餐吃了bibimbap、banchan和yukgaejang辣牛肉汤。到了才知道是中国人开的，味道还行吧，但绝对没有湾区的韩餐正宗。除此之外还去尝了挺火的Raising Cane’s的鸡柳，并没什么特别之处。这周自己做了健康些的素鹰嘴豆意面汤和纯素土豆泥。
