坐火车从箱根到东京，入住Shinjuku新宿区的一个Airbnb。现在很多的Airbnb房东都不住在那里了，纯出租用。门口挂着密码钥匙盒，自己用密码取出钥匙就可以进去了。来东京前听说这里有很多cat café猫咪咖啡厅，所以来了一定要去看看。听说在日本，由于大多数公寓不允许养宠物，猫咪咖啡厅就满足了那些猫奴/爱猫人士的需求，以至于在日本迅速兴盛起来。但其实感觉还蛮贵的，记得好像是按每10分钟收费，平均一分钟1美元的样子。谁会没事儿闲的经常来这儿喝咖啡啊？估计还是来参观的游客比较多。
我们去的猫咪咖啡厅Mocha是个连锁店，这里有很多规定：不能强行抱猫，不能追赶猫咪，不能喂自己带的食物给猫咪，不能开闪光灯拍照，进门之前要存包换鞋。一进屋里面有20多只猫，猫咪们无处不在，上蹿下跳的。过了一会儿工作人员开始喂食，她刚把摞好的碗拿出来，猫咪们闻着味儿就过去了，一个个兴奋地恨不得跳她身上去。她把碗沿着墙边一个个摆好，猫咪们就迫不及待地开吃了。有一两只吃得快、把自己碗里猫粮吃完了的猫，又去别的猫那里抢食吃。
从猫咪咖啡馆出来之后，去了Harajuku 原宿站附近有名的的Takeshita竹下通。原宿是东京年轻人街头文化的代表，这条全长三百米的竹下通商业街聚集着很多年轻人喜爱的时尚潮牌店铺，也有很多快餐店。每逢周末和节假日，这里就变得人山人海。在东京街头还能经常看到的就是在店门口排着大队的人群，朋友说他们是为了排队买限量版的潮牌的服饰的或者派对见明星签名会的。真佩服他们的耐力！
继续在城市里闲逛，路过东京塔，还看到及其奇特的一幕：遛马的。小马驹被牵着过马路，引起不少路人的注意。
晚上跟朋友一起去了家超级火爆的寿司店，等位等了一个多小时。我还第一次吃了海胆，很新鲜。看起来有点像蟹黄，海胆黄和上面的芥末一起吃，口感很嫩滑。之后才知道海胆黄很容易化，最好尽快吃掉。一大桌寿司，吃得很满足。
东京街头的夜晚也挺有意思。霓虹灯闪烁，逛街的人流不息。当我走在东京的街道上时，几乎在每个繁华的商业区都能看到醒目的大型街机厅，有很多连锁店，规模都很大，像个大型商场一样，有很多层。朋友带我进去体验了一把日本的游艺厅文化。从大门一进去，感觉顿时进入了另一个世界，游戏的声音跟音乐声震耳欲聋，一排排小游戏机钱都坐满了人，大多是男性。另一部分都是抓娃娃机，还有大头贴拍摄器，以女性顾客为主。朋友说这是很多职场年轻人中年人下班后缓解并发泄压力的场所之一。
从游艺厅出来等过马路的时候，又看到另一惊奇的一幕：超级玛丽卡丁车现实版。司机们都打扮成超级玛丽游戏中的人物，开着卡丁车，红灯一变，便全速开出去了。超级拉风，引起很多路人拍照。
