Qingdao

After almost half a year, I finally met my favorite group of students who I have taught for almost three years! After resigning in January, although I stopped teaching them, the school contacted me again and asked if I would like to lead the team in the next two or three weeks. I brought this wave of students to China for the first time last year. When the school asked me, I agreed without thinking. When I took over, the students and the two former team leaders had been in Qingdao for two weeks. I took the high-speed train to Qingdao one day in advance, intending to surprise them. When I checked into the hotel, a student just walked in from the hotel gate. I called him by his Chinese name and ran over to give him a big hug. As a result, he looked at me in amazement first, and then suddenly realized five seconds later. He yelled "Ah, Teacher Liang!". I realized that it was because I cut my hair short that he changed so much that he suddenly didn't recognize me. Then we both conspired together how to surprise the other students. I hid behind the door in his room, and he asked the other students to go to his room. They saw me one by one, and they all slowed down before they realized it was me. I couldn't have been happier to meet them and chat about what they've been up to for the past six months.

The next day we went to climb Laoshan according to the itinerary, just in time for the Laoshan Marathon that day, walking and climbing the mountain was tiring enough, and there were always marathon runners running up the mountain. They were very tired after climbing Mount Lao. They all fell asleep when they boarded the car. When they woke up, they got off the car and went to eat their favorite Korean barbecue. All the big and small guys can eat so much, how can they make money by letting people open buffets? !

Because they are studying in a Catholic school, every time we come to China, we will go to the local church to attend mass on Sunday. Usually, after the mass on Sunday, we are free to move around, and I can have my own time to go shopping. I remember that I only came to Qingdao once when I was a child, and it was organized by my father's company. I only remember taking a boat, and I have no impression of anything else. Today I went to climb a mountain and walked around. There is a CrossFit gym opposite the hotel where I live. The price is quite reasonable, and I can pay by the week. I also told them I would bring a bunch of students and ask them to give us a discount. Go back and tell the students that they really joined together in a large group.

On Monday afternoon, I took the students to a local kindergarten. The conditions of this kindergarten are good, there are several foreign teachers, and the children's English is also good. After we went, we did a lot of activities together. Divide into two teams and squat together with the children to pull the people in front forward to see which team reaches the finish line first. They worked hard, and some students felt that their clothes would be torn off by the children. After reaching the finish line, everyone fell to the ground from exhaustion, which was funny. Afterwards, they jumped rope together. After group activities, they were divided into groups and went to each class to guide the children to learn while playing. There are a few little brothers who are welcome! In the end, everyone drew pictures together on a long picture scroll to commemorate.

After a year, I ate Haidilao again. When eating Haidilao in Beijing last year, they happened to catch up with the face-changing show and live ramen, and they were all dumbfounded. In the past few days, I also visited Hisense Company and Qingdao Planning Exhibition Hall.

Taking the students to Pichaiyuan to see all kinds of magical and weird foods opened my eyes. I have never eaten starfish, so I tried something new today. The little brother who was the first to taste a live scorpion in Wangfujing Snack Street in Beijing last year tasted a starfish today under my encouragement. I often encourage my students to try new things, don't hear hearsay, preconceived ideas, no one has the right to make a proper judgment if they have not tried or experienced.

In the morning, while the students were in class, I went to climb Fushan Mountain. In the drizzle, I met a Qingdao uncle who had insisted on climbing Fushan for ten years. All the way, I complained about my unqualified equipment, didn't know how to read thunderstorm clouds, and didn't know all kinds of terms for mountain friends. Although he disliked me so much, he still took me to the top of the big rock on the top of the mountain, overlooking the whole city. After that, he took me to take a shortcut and take a small path down the mountain.

Go with another leading teacher to see the night view of Qingdao seaside. The high-rise buildings by the sea change the color of their lights with the music, which is really spectacular. I also passed a music park with a very innovative design.

On the last day in Qingdao, I visited the warships by the sea and the Tsingtao Beer Museum. I can't remember the last time I had a beer.
