Nanjing (5)

After returning from Wuhan to Nanjing, I went directly to Miweifang to buy a box of water tower cakes. Shuita Cake is actually a native of Ningbo. It is fermented from rice and is a local specialty cake made by hand. The appearance is white, and the mouth is soft and waxy. There are fermented rice and cooked rice in it, which makes the water tower cake soft and smells like wine.

The sister from Dalian who just moved to Nanjing recently joined a Korean stone pot restaurant, and warmly invited me to eat in her restaurant. The store decoration is very small and fresh, there are quite a lot of customers, and the taste is good.

I went to the U-flavored Castle Bakery to buy iced mochi, durian puffs and pineapple puffs, and went to Luxi River to buy their famous peach cakes and other snacks.

Received the first ticket in China, riding a Mobike in the wrong direction. I just got out of the subway station and drove a Mobike. I was going to turn left anyway, so I rode on the left side of the main road. Don't ordinary people just board and leave? Who would push a bicycle across the road and ride it? After riding for a few seconds, the traffic police stopped me and took my ID card away for registration. I had to go to the kiosk to receive education and a fine. There are already several people who have been educated. Someone wrote a large-page self-criticism, and someone challenged the traffic police with jealousy. Fortunately, I admitted my mistake and let me go after paying the fine. In fact, I was quite happy to be fined. If many places enforce the law so strictly, it should improve various domestic traffic violations to a certain extent. I saw this kind of big screen on the street before, and the photos of violators would be displayed on the big screen, and I heard that it would affect the so-called social credit score. It reminded me of a similar episode of "Black Mirror". Will my social credit score be affected?

I finally met my friend's Chinese-German mixed-race baby in real life, even more beautiful and cute than in the photos, a standard doll, full of child star style. The school's Cosplay Day catwalk. I'm just a soy saucer. The students of the International Department are still working hard for today! It's much more crazy than my previous American students. But this has to be in the United States. With knives, guns, and masks, you can’t tell who it is, and transgender people can’t even enter the school gate.

A day or two before leaving, I went to eat big glutinous rice balls again, and I was satisfied. In the evening, I had dinner with colleagues from the International Department (mostly foreign teachers) and then sang K. After working in Nanjing for two months, some foreign teachers are not very familiar with them because they are not in the same department and have no direct contact with them. However, I had a lot of chats with some unfamiliar foreign teachers this evening before leaving, and their experiences were very interesting. Last night in Nanjing after working here for two months. Regrets that I wasn't able to get to know some of you better. Regardless it was very nice to meet you all. It's hard to say goodbye, but I know I'll see you again (goodbye) somewhere in the future! It's a small world after all! 🌎
