Hakone (2)

It rained all night, the fog was very heavy, and the wind was very strong, which caused the high-altitude cable car to Owakudani to be out of service, and we went to the famous Owakudani. Owakudani is a major source of Hakone hot springs, and it is the remains of a crater formed by a volcanic eruption more than 3,000 years ago. I heard that the sulfur content here is very high, and the smell of rotten eggs can be smelled from a long distance. The local specialty is black eggs cooked in hot springs. It is said that eating one black egg can prolong your life by 7 years. We couldn't go to Owakudani, so we bought a box of similar black eggs near the train station to eat for fun, and the taste was no different from ordinary eggs.

I went to the Sculpture Forest Art Museum. With nature as the background, sculptures and outdoor scenery blend together. This is Japan's first outdoor art museum, with works of art by masters such as Picasso.
